Restorative vs Yin yoga, what's the difference?

Restorative yoga is all about peace and doing as little as possible. Grab your pillows, blankets, and eye coverers and be ready to rest. This is your time to yourself. 

Yin yoga can still be restful but the main focus is on finding your edge. This includes holding a pose in a way that doesn't involve the use of your muscles.

A pose can be help anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes. This is where flexibility can be gained, and the parasympathetic nervous system calmed. 

Whichever you choose the outcome will leave you feeling  refreshed and renewed. Both classes include the following.
